The Assistant Manager – IT Procurement manages procurement of IT hardware, software, cloud services, networking equipment, cybersecurity solutions and other technology requirements. The role coordinates with vendors, technical teams and user departments, prepares procurement documentation and supports compliance with applicable procurement rules and organizational procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process procurement requirements for IT hardware, software, cloud, networking and cybersecurity goods and services.
  • Prepare BOQs, RFQs, comparative statements, Purchase Orders and related documentation.
  • Coordinate with technical teams and user departments for accurate specifications and scope of work.
  • Conduct market surveys and vendor sourcing to support competitive pricing and value for money.
  • Negotiate prices, delivery schedules and commercial terms; follow up on timely delivery.
  • Verify licensing, warranty, support and compliance for software, subscriptions and IT solutions.
  • Process transactions through ERP systems and coordinate with Finance for invoice verification and payment.
  • Maintain complete procurement records and support internal, external and pre-audit reviews.

Required Skills & Competencie

  • Strong understanding of procurement procedures and compliance requirements.
  • Knowledge of public procurement rules including SPPRA/PPRA is an added advantage.
  • Familiarity with IT hardware, software licensing, cloud subscriptions, networking and support models.
  • Experience with ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365 or Odoo; proficiency in MS Excel.
  • Vendor management, negotiation, analytical, organizational and documentation skills.

Qualification & Experience

Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or a related field from an HEC-recognized institution.

Experience: Minimum 4–5 years of relevant procurement experience, preferably involving IT hardware, software, networking, cloud or cybersecurity-related procurements.
