The DevOps Engineer is a Senior Manager/Head-level (G4) role that owns SITC’s DevOps function end-to-end, accountable for
outcomes rather than tasks. The role sets priorities across deployment readiness, environment stability, monitoring, and service
operations, exercises deep technical authority, and develops the engineers within the function, in coordination with engineering,
product, and security teams.

Key Responsibilities

DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, deployment workflows, cloud/server operations, and release readiness.
Manage containerised deployments, environment stability, monitoring, alerting, backups, and uptime support for SITC systems.
Support 24/7 service operations and operational readiness across Linux/Windows, cloud, Docker/Kubernetes, and related infrastructure.
Coordinate with Engineering, Product, QA, and Security teams for smooth releases, incident support, and production issue resolution.
Document DevOps processes, access controls, operational runbooks, monitoring dashboards, and release dependencies.

Required Skills & Competencie

Deep expertise in CI/CD pipeline design and implementation (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or similar).
Strong hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
Proficiency in Linux/Windows server administration and cloud platforms (Azure/AWS).
Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible, or similar).
Monitoring, alerting, and observability tooling (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or similar).
Strong scripting ability (Bash, Python, PowerShell) for automation.
Incident management and root-cause analysis for production systems.
People management and coaching experience, having built and developed a team.

Qualification & Experience

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or a related field; Master’s preferred, or equivalent delivery experience where evidence supports the required capability.
Experience: 8–10 years of relevant DevOps / infrastructure operations experience, including ownership of a function or product line and a track record of developing others and being accountable for outcomes rather than tasks. Deep technical authority across CI/CD, Docker/Kubernetes, Linux/Windows environments, cloud platforms, monitoring/alerting, Prometheus/Grafana or similar tools, applied to complex solution design. Azure/AWS DevOps, CKA, Terraform, or similar certifications preferred.
