SITC drives digital transformation initiatives for the Government of Sindh, building platforms that touch citizen services, government payments, board governance, and identity verification at scale. We’re looking for a Full-Stack Engineer to design, build, and maintain production systems across our platform portfolio – from citizen-facing web applications to internal government tooling. This role requires someone comfortable working across the full stack on infrastructure that demands high availability, strong security, and auditability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain web applications end-to-end, from database schema to API to UI
  • Contribute to platforms spanning API gateway services, payment aggregation, document/board management portals, and identity verification integrations
  • Design and consume REST/gRPC/SOAP APIs, with attention to versioning, authentication, and rate limiting
  • Work with relational databases – schema design, migrations, and query optimization
  • Implement security best practices appropriate for government systems: encryption at rest/in transit, role-based access control, audit logging
  • Collaborate with architects, QA, and product stakeholders across multiple concurrent projects
  • Write clear technical documentation (design docs, API specs) for internal and stakeholder review

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, with hands-on expertise in a modern frontend framework (e.g., React, Angular, Vue)
  • Backend expertise in at least one widely-used server-side stack (e.g., Node.js, .NET, Java/Spring, Python/Django)
  • Solid understanding of relational databases and SQL
  • Practical experience with REST API design and integration. SOAP API design and integration is a plus.
  • Ability to write clean, maintainable, well-tested code
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work across multiple concurrent projects
  • Using AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude Code) is a huge plus

Qualification & Experience

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems or Business Administration with a technology focus from an HEC-recognized institution or exceptional relevant experience.

Experience: Minimum 4 years of professional experience building full-stack web applications. Demonstrated expertise in at least one major, industry-recognized technology stack (e.g., React/Next.js, .NET, Node.js, Java/Spring). Experience working on projects with regulatory, compliance, or audit requirements is a plus. Prior experience in govtech, fintech, or another high-stakes/high-security domain is a plus.
