The Senior Quality Assurance Engineer is a Senior Engineer-level role responsible for taking QA and test work from specification to production independently and repeatedly across SITC systems, mentoring less experienced colleagues, and owning quality outcomes for assigned products from planning through release.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute manual and/or automated testing for SITC systems, taking test work from specification to production independently and repeatedly.
  • Prepare test plans, test cases, test reports, defect logs, UAT records, and quality documentation to a professional standard.
  • Coordinate with Product and Engineering for defect resolution, regression testing, and release readiness, mentoring less experienced QA colleagues.
  • Support manual testing, automation testing, defect management, and UAT support for assigned products, owning quality outcomes end-to-end.
  • Use tools such as Postman, Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar testing tools, applying full technical and functional competence.
  • Coordinate cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, DevOps, and Security teams on release readiness and quality risk.

Required Skills & Competencie

  • Strong grounding in manual and automated testing methodologies across web, API, and mobile applications.
  • Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
  • API testing using Postman or similar tools.
  • Experience designing test plans, test cases, and traceability matrices.
  • Defect management and bug-tracking tools (Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar).
  • UAT coordination and release readiness sign-off.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests into build pipelines.

Qualification & Experience

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience, assessed. Experience: 6+ years of relevant QA/SQA experience, taking test work from specification to production independently and repeatedly, and mentoring less experienced colleagues. Full technical competence across manual testing, automation testing, defect management, API testing, and UAT support, applying applied delivery judgement.
Certifications : Certifications in Test Automation or ISTQB are a strong plus.
